Personal History

Early Life
Mateo grew up in a crowded city apartment, climbing fire escapes and squeezing through alleyways. He was the kid who could retrieve a lost ball from any rooftop.
During Captivity
His small size and agility made him useful. He was forced to crawl into tight spaces, fetch items, and observe routines. While doing so, he memorized patterns—who stood guard when, which locks stuck, which men argued.
After
Mateo stays in motion to keep fear away. He fidgets, climbs, and paces, but he’s sharp and quick to notice details others miss.
