| Personal History | Early Life Collin was the kind of big brother who held his sister’s hand crossing the street even when adults were watching. He loved building blanket forts and telling her stories he made up on the spot. Their home life was modest but warm. During the Fall When his sister became sick, Collin tried to help her the way he always had—bringing her toys, brushing her hair, telling her it would be okay. He didn’t understand what she had turned into until it was too late. The bite was small, but the terror was enormous. He ran until he couldn’t breathe. After Dante found him cornered by a group of turned adults, exhausted and sobbing. Collin rarely talks about his sister, but he keeps her broken charm bracelet in his pocket and rubs it when he’s scared. He instinctively shields younger kids, stepping between them and danger without thinking. |
